Milan de Groot is the youngest voice on Network Radio and he is not trying to hide it. His weekend show is fast, a little chaotic, and built almost entirely out of music that came out in the last eighteen months. He finds things before anyone asks him to.
He started with a laptop, a cheap USB microphone and a livestream nobody watched for the first four months. Then a few hundred people started turning up every week, and he learned the difference between playing music at people and playing music for them. That lesson stuck.
Milan spends most of his week in the inbox, digging through demos from bedroom producers across the Netherlands and Belgium. A lot of it is rough. Some of it is genuinely good, and those are the tracks you hear on Saturday, usually months before anybody else plays them.
Weekends, loud, no apologies.
